Soundtrap was launched in 2013 as the world's first online, collaborative, cross-platform music recording studio. It was founded by Per Emanuelsson, Björn Melinder, Fredrik Posse, Gabriel Sjöberg and Magnus Svedjebratt in Stockholm, Sweden.
In 2014, Soundtrap was featured at Google I/O in San Francisco for its groundbreaking technology and collaborative features. The following year, it won the AASL award for Best Site for Teaching and Learning for its ease of use in the classroom.
This accolade was followed by rapid growth, both among consumers and in the educational arena. Today, Soundtrap has become the preferred audio recording tool for musicians and educators around the world.
